Some things grow only when you stop forcing them

Rubin Basha

I have been thinking about how much building a product has in common with growing a garden.

You can prepare the soil. You can choose what to plant, water it, remove the weeds and pay attention to what is happening. But you cannot make a plant grow faster just because you want results today.

Building a product has a similar rhythm. You can do the work, talk to users, improve the foundations and make thoughtful decisions. You create the conditions for progress. Adoption, trust and momentum still take their time.

That is not sitting back and hoping for the best. It is knowing the difference between the work you can control and the outcome you cannot force.

As a founder it is tempting to measure every day by visible progress. Sometimes the most important work is the less visible one: making something simpler, listening carefully, or giving an idea time to mature.

Not every meaningful result arrives on your schedule.

If you are building something

A new app, a prototype that needs to become a real product, or a team that needs senior hands. Tell me the problem. I will tell you honestly whether we are a fit.
